The Practice
New Smiles Dental is a highly respected dental practice that opened in 2022 and currently operates at the cutting edge of modern dentistry. The practice is well known for operating state-of-the-art dental procedures with a high success rate.
The practice is spearheaded by Dr. Neha Gupta, a senior dentist with over ten years of experience. Her experience in public and private dental ventures led her to begin her practice in Preston.
Since its inception, New Smiles Dental’s primary objective has been to preserve people’s smiles through the best measures. Currently, the practice ranks at the #1 spot on Google search results, but this wasn’t always the case. Just like every other venture, New Smiles Dental had a set of challenges they wanted to overcome.
And that’s when Digital Champ came to their aid.
The Challenge
Like any other venture in the digital sphere, New Smiles Dental had its fair share of challenges. Here, take a look:
1. Keyword identification: While the dental practice was promising and highly talented, it lacked the key ingredients to rank well on Google search results page for terms like “cosmetic dentist,” “dental implants,” and more.
2. Lack of localized SEO: Similar to the previous challenge, New Smiles Dental’s digital presence had trouble ranking for local SEO terms, such as ones based on the practice’s location. Patients couldn’t find the practice while looking up terms like “best dental practice near me” or “best dentist near me.”
3. Streamlining of dental marketing strategy: New Smiles Dental needed a solid and comprehensive dental marketing strategy. Our objective at Digital Champ was to identify the weak links and build a presence capable of garnering more patients.
4. Lack of brand identity: While the practice had social accounts set up, it couldn’t optimize them enough to establish its own brand, resulting in few recommendations across different channels.
The Solution
After a thorough session with the New Smiles Dental team, we analyzed the gaps and their potential solutions. Further inputs from them also helped us establish and narrow down our dental SEO and ads approach. Here’s how we upscaled the New Smiles Dental portfolio and got it ranking at the #1 position in search results:
1. Bridging the gap: As mentioned in the challenges section, we realized New Smile Dental’s keyword list needed an overhaul. It led us to analyze and bridge the gap between the existing set and the one used by the competitors. This included localized keywords, general search keywords, intent-based keywords, etc.
2. Local SEO optimization: While doing a keyword overhaul, we started optimizing the local SEO aspect through avenues such as Google Maps, directories, etc. We aimed to let the patient living a few streets away know that the practice isn’t far off.
3. Website optimization: We had to pick up the website section from a previous company. While it appeared easy on paper, we realized the structure required an overhaul. To optimize the website situation, we did the following:
- Created schema markups for identifiable breadcrumbs, products, and an FAQ lineup.
- Created detailed silos for category pages, URL structure, and navigational hierarchy.
- Created custom pages for localized marketing efforts and better SEO scores.
- We also created specific pages pertaining to niche topics that patients needed help with.
- We optimized page loading speeds by balancing media embeds and content while giving proper context to every service available.
4. Content optimization for website and other channels: We optimized content copies across all channels to rank better for dental SEO terminologies and dental ads. We also optimized content on all pages to reflect the various patients’ search intents. We mapped them all through our content assets, from regular to niche issues.
5. Regular SEO audit and updates: To be abreast on the latest dental SEO practices, we gave New Smiles Dental an annual calendar highlighting content updates, website maintenance sessions, and social media campaign management. We took care of on-page and off-page SEO metrics through practices such as backlink generation, interlinking, and much more.
6. Quality backlinks: One of our biggest perks in this project was our ability to provide over 19,000 backlinks to New Smiles Dental channels via careful collaboration with Dentists from Pymble, health professionals, and other business bloggers who could provide quality content to us.
7. Community building: We also focused on improving social media marketing for dentists in Australia through forums and communities. Platforms such as Quora and Facebook became viable for us for content promotion and community building.
The Results
Staying true to our commitment, we delivered the following results to New Smiles Dental:
- An 82% increase in website traffic.
- A 152% increase in organic traffic over a 12-month period.
- 2,914% increase in overall keyword visibility.
- We went from just three calls per month from Google Maps to over 20 monthly calls.
- Secured a Domain Authority of 55+ through relevant link placements.
- Secured #1 position on local Google Maps, driving more people to call the clinic.
- Secured #1 position organically. Furthermore, we secured significant real estate on search results by carefully placing four highly effective jump links, pushing the competition further down.
- As of now, New Smiles Dental has over 53 primary search terms on the first page, 25 of which are in the top 3 search results.
