The Practice

QV Dental is a trusted name in the Australian dental industry with over 20 years of experience. The practice is best known for its services like teeth whitening, dental veneers, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and much more. 

Based in Melbourne, the practice has served people from all walks of life. With a multicultural team of dentists and support staff, the practice is great for people looking for quality dental healthcare at a reasonable price. 

QV Dental’s digital presence is quite new. However, this newly found presence had its share of flaws, resulting in stagnancy in the practice’s operations. The practice sought to garner more conversions through conventional means but faced many challenges navigating the online world. It was then that the dental practice started looking for a digital marketing agency that could understand its needs, and Digital Champ gladly stepped in.

The Challenge

Just like any other newly established online presence, QV Dental had its fair share of challenges to deal with. Once our team at Digital Champ took a closer look at the entire business model, we discovered the following challenges:

1. Lack of a brand identity: While the newfound digital presence was unique, it wasn’t optimized to defeat the competition, resulting in poor conversion rates.  

2. Lack of a retargeting strategy: The existing practice had established its presence among the initial set of users. However, their retention was getting expensive and harder to maintain. If the practice had to migrate to another channel, there was a high chance that the existing number of patients would drop significantly.

3. Poor website design and layout: One of the biggest drawbacks of the practice’s existing online presence was the lack of a properly structured website. The existing version was, in a lot of ways, unintuitive, with an unorganized sitemap and breadcrumbs. 

4. Poor SEO optimization: The website’s poor layout was compounded by the lack of well-structured, written, and optimized content. The SEO scores were quite scattered and low, resulting in poor engagement metrics. Keyword utilization and its further optimization were few and far between.

The Solution

While the challenges were many, they weren’t unconquerable. Our team of talented subject matter experts, upon identifying the challenges, came up with a list of solutions:

1. Website overhaul:  The first step was restructuring the entire website from scratch. It involved redesigning the sitemap, listing and cataloging the services into sections and pages, and assigning CTAs and content assets based on the requirements. The result was a better-structured website with an ergonomic layout.

2. SEO optimization: Apart from the website itself, the pages were optimized for their content pieces. Improved and relevant keywords were embedded into the content for better ranking opportunities. CTAs and internal linking avenues were thoroughly revamped as well.

3. A solid retargeting strategy: Another crucial solution was our retargeting strategy through the website and PPC route. The ads in question were created for Google and Facebook using the right keywords, banners, and descriptions. This enabled the existing patient base to migrate to the newer version without a hassle.

The Results

Based on the solutions we provided, QV Dental witnessed the following results:

  1. A steady increase in the number of referred patients through the new website.
  2. Optimized the primary keyword and improved its ranking from page 5 to page 1 of the Google search results.
  3. Optimized the CPL from a high figure to AUS $50, a very competitive price for the Melbourne market.
  4. Optimized the CPL for a high-end treatment plan of $5K to AUS $200.
